Andrea Lamy is the Benefits Coordinator at Fairmount Long Term Care/Philadelphia Nursing Home, a long-term care community which provides a place to heal or a place to live for the region’s medically indigent with short and long-term care. She has responsibility for all aspects of benefits including the management of FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and health insurance plan renewal.
She advises and counsels management and employees on existing benefits and proposed benefits. In addition, Andrea holds seats on the Pension and Safety Committees.
Andrea has more than 15 years of experience in benefits and has been recognized for leading process improvement within the Human Resources department.
Prior to her time at Fairmount Long Term Care, Andrea was a free agent working in various industries. This resulted in further insight into diverse cultures, HR policies, HRIS systems, and union environments. Andrea has served on the Study Group committee at the SHRM local chapter Tri-State HRMA. This initiative supported Tri-State HRMA members preparing for the HRCI SPHR and PHR certification exams. This committee fostered an environment to review and discuss preparation materials and to provide support and guidance.
She is a (ISCEBS), a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) as well as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and holds her New Jersey Producer license in Life, Health and Accident producer.
